How did you get your role in BPE – and how has it changed since?

I Joined BioPharma Engineering as a CAD Technician in October 2013. In that role I had lots of exposure to all the departments and projects, particularly I had experience working with the Process team. After a review with management, I let them know that I was eager to get into Process Engineering. In August 2014 I moved to the Process team, since then I have worked on projects for all different people and different scales, subsequently, I was promoted and have gone on to be the Process lead on some significant projects in the company"s portfolio.

What does your typical day look like at BPE?

My day can be extremely varied, I can do Process design on projects scaling ranging from €50,000 to €30m working with some of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world. I liaise with the different Project teams so I could have to attend a number of meetings to ensure the successful execution of Projects. On other days I will be on site"s attending meeting our clients and doing project walk downs

What do you like most about working at BPE?

It"s a very busy environment with a good mixture of site exposure and design office experience.

The senior management and personnel are very approachable. It"s great to work with people that care about their company and doing a good job. Also the company directors/management recognise and acknowledge hard work and dedication from people. You get rewarded for what you put in!

What advice do you have for prospective BPE candidates?

There is plenty opportunity to gain experience across all project aspects from concept right through project completion at all experience levels. The people that work here are friendly, approachable and passionate about the quality of what they do. That"s a very inspiring atmosphere to be in and the type of people you want to learn from
